This place is one of my favourite... The station is just so well maintained and clean.. a lot spacious and very nice.... They have the sliding stairs for carrying luggage which is a must need in any railway station... They have toto auto car stand just beside the station so transport and traveling is not for worry ... Also they have food stalls hotels bear by and also some restaurant inside the station which is very good...

Most parts of this Railway Station are under renovation. Nevertheless, the facilities are well maintained. Escalators are provided for each platform, departure board and wheelchair accessible stairs are there. The only problem at this station is people don't prefer to move at night to places like Gangtok, Darjeeling even though transport is available. Only local people move out.

4/ 5

Most important place to connect the north east India with rest of the India. Only 5stations are there. Cleanliness is average. Maintainance is good. However there is huge shortage of sitting arrangements properly as there is only one waiting room. From tourist point of view also, here people come from many places. So restroom and waiting rooms are required more. There is shortage of proper restaurant nearby, no medicine shop also. These things are need to be taken care of properly.

The station is maintained properly. People from the cleaning department are all the time engaged in cleaning the platforms and waiting halls. One thing I have seen that they have separate dustbins for biodegradable and non biodegradable wastes and that one is very impressive. And when the dustbins get filled by the wastes they are being immediately cleaned by the people from the cleaning department. Hats off to them..they are doing great job 👍 And thanks to the railway department for maintaining each and every thing so nicely.

One of the most important stations of North Bengal. All key trains from any parts of India halt at this station. Waiting rooms are descent. We will get food stalls at the station and out side. It's well connected with Siliguri town by local transport. For long distance travel you can hire taxi from here.
