Sinclairs Retreat Ooty ooty

It was a great place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny but nicely designed to optimize the space. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The view was very nice. The only drawback was that there was no dorm for the drivers. I saw the drivers sleeping in the cars in the cold weather when I was walking around early in the morning. One advice to the visitors is to take the road towards the benchmark rather than the one shown by Google maps. One advice for the resort, try to have a mini bar and a refrigerator in the rooms. It is very convenient for the visitors.

Excellent view , may be the best view in Ooty . Rooms are very well maintained and proper hygiene is maintained. Extra activities/games/reading room/gym is also available. The best thing about this hotel is that it is situated in mountain hence you will go from top to bottom in hotel. Outside garden is the best thing I have ever seen. They have very well maintained it and you can see various different flowers which adds an extra star to hotel. Over all this is very good hotel and hospitality was very good. Just one complain I have is that in some rooms some of the plugs are not working.

Stayed here between Nov16&17. Thankfully it was just for a single night. The place is under renovation and how much it definitely requires uplifting. Rooms aren't as they look in online photos. Infact the rooms that i got were really poorly lit, the washroom drains clogged and floods the entire area. Staff are courteous and efficient. Food is good. Bar needs to be better stocked though. All in all the hotel definitely need a lot of refurnishing and amenities need to be made available in rooms. I wouldn't recommend this place Unless renovated. My sincere request to booking sites is to put a disclaimer when a property is under large scale maintenance. Guests can choose to avoid.

Need to improve in few places of the resort. Not much enough ambience as i saw in the portal and online tourist portals which need to be updated. But, good location in a hilly area of Ooty and can view whole Ooty city. Still enjoyed at place and is must stay place when I visit Ooty.

The resort is placed at a very breathtaking place and the view is amazingly beautiful. The staff is courteous and polite. However apart from this could not find any reason to come back and also would not suggest anyone to stay.Reasons-The menu is very limited most of the things they didn't have.The breakfast is sad with limited options and the taste is not that great. No hot water in rooms until requested for. Room service is s delayed.Overpriced menu and rooms prices.Overall would rate it two stars.
