The shop opening time was 3 pm and we reached there 10 mins before following google maps from our stay. This was the only decent rated restaurant nearby. So here's my experience. The shop which seemed to be a family business has a small opening like the old shop back in days and looks more like someone's home. The gate was half closed as it was still 10 mins to 3pm. We tried to go in and asked the owner if it is open. Owner was pretty old and the reply we got was it would open at 3. On request he allowed us in and let us sit. We thought we could ask for food now and asked for medu Wada to eat as it was prepared already. However we were ignored and the server who seemed like to be from the family waved hand at us asking to wait. I was astonished to all this and this was something new. Finally it was 3 and they came to us to take orders. I ordered one special masala dosa and one bonda which i don't know the name of, it was made with rice and some corn in it. The rice bonda was something new to me and it was nice crisp from outside. You could fill the texture of rice and some daal, it was nice. Then comes the special masala dosa!! Dosa was nicely made in ghee with some patato masala which was mixed with something white and grainy in texture. I loved the chutneys and the dosa was heavy enough with all that ghee and masala to make you feel full. Sambar was nice too. This definitely wasn't the masala dosa you have in TN. My friend ordered rava dosa and medu vada which was good too. Overall it was an amazing experience eating in a shop which seems to be there for decades!! When we were paying at the counter, we asked the old man how old the shop is. He said 1951 and I was amazed to see a family business holding on this long. That's the end of it. Cheers!! Edit: The rice bonda i mentioned is karavada which the shop is famous for.
